March 8, 2024
Members of Sons of the American Legion Squadron 215 and other Post 215 American Legion Family members held a fundraiser for the LaGrange County Veterans Headstone Project at their monthly Steak Fry March 8, 2024. Squadron 215 has been actively supporting VHP since 2014, and this year was able to present them with an additional donation of $5,010!
The mission of the Veterans’ Headstone Project is to ensure that every man or woman who served in our Nation’s military, whose grave lies in LaGrange County, IN, are identified with dignity and honor. Veteran’s headstones that are no longer legible, in disrepair, or that simply no longer exist, are documented and that soldier’s service researched. Once the research is complete, the soldier is provided a supplemental headstone/memorial. More information can be found on their Facebook page.
100% of donated monies are used to procure and install headstones and emblems of service – American Flag holders. If you would like to help, tax deductible donations can be made to the LaGrange County Community Foundation with the Veterans’ Headstone Project designated as the recipient fund.
