Greetings All,
As summer is coming to a close, I would like to thank everyone that has helped the SAL with our events the last two months. From the Chicken Cook, and a huge thank you to the Wolcottville Lions Club for cooking it, to our most recent Casino Night…We couldn’t have made this possible without our Legion family of volunteers.
Some upcoming events will be our monthly SAL dinners, September 13, and October 11. Both with music to follow, September we will have “Point and Click,” October, “Scotty Butters.” Keep November 8 open in your calendars as we will be hosting “Hubie Ashcraft Band” after our Feather Party and Steak Fry. Hoping for a great night.
Our Cancer Benefit will be October 19 from 12-4. We will need some volunteers for that so please contact Lisa Olinger or myself. This year, we have nominated Pat Fair, a LaGrange local, SAL member, son of Auxiliary member Donna Fair. He has been dealing with cancer and treatments for 23 years. So, if at all possible, let’s make this cancer benefit a great one for him.
Something new that is happening is Dawn Miller had the great idea of setting up a Legion Crawl. As of now the bus is FULL! Hoping we can make this an annual trip to different Legion Posts. Remember the day is October 12! Thanks to all who signed up and thank you Dawn!
