Fellow veterans,
We’re moving into the summer months which means vacations, camping and other travel. Please be careful, and remember to bring them back alive.
Memorial Day is approaching which is the day we honor all who gave the most for the defense of your country. There will be ceremonies in Howe and LaGrange, where we honor the veterans we lost in the past year. It would be fitting if we could make it to one of these.
Veterans, we really need for those that can to come out on the 4th Tuesday of the month for the Post meeting. We’ve had a really poor showing for some time now. Come on out and learn what is happening with your Post. We’re looking at making some improvements, including but not limited to updating the beer cooling system, having the roof inspected and repaired and replacing the carpets in both the barroom and the event room. We also need to do some plumbing repairs behind the bar. If you think you could help with the plumbing please contact me, the commander at 260-585-4103.
Our chicken dinners have been slowly creeping up in dinners served, which is a very good thing, but we need veteran volunteers to come in and help. Thankfully, the SAL and the Auxiliary have really helped out and pitched in.
We will be changing the Karaoke on the chicken dinner nights to help improve the attendance and participation. Ned had done a pretty good job, but it seems to be really dropping off as of late. We wish him all the best.
Keep an eye on the calendar and lagrangepost215.org our website, for upcoming events with all the divisions of the Post 215. Come on out and enjoy your Post.
— Rick Seibert, Commander
