Greetings fellow members,
I am honored and humbled to write to you for the first time as the new Commander of Sons of the American Legion Squadron 215. I want to sincerely thank those who nominated me and everyone that placed their trust in me with their vote. I’m excited for what lies ahead and proud to continue serving our veterans, families, and the community.
A huge thank you goes out to everyone who helped make our last steak fry such a great success. We served 151 meals — what an incredible turnout! A big shoutout as well to our entertainment for the evening. Double Shot, who kept the energy high and the crowd engaged all night.
Looking ahead, July’s dinner (July 11th) is shaping up to be a fun one for all ages. We’re doing something a little different with a magic show featuring hometown magician John Gilmore, along with two other talented magicians from the Fort Wayne area. Be sure to bring your kids and grandkids … this will be a show you won’t want to miss!
August’s dinner (August 8th) will bring back a familiar favorite … Nashville recording artist Shawn Richards will be returning to perform at the Legion. We’re thrilled to welcome him back and look forward to another great evening of music and fellowship.
Make sure to follow our new Facebook page: “LaGrange Sons of the American Legion” for up-dates, events, and photos. We want to keep everyone in the loop and celebrate the great work we’re doing together.
We have a slight dues increase effective July 1, 2025. Regular members will be $35.00 per year; Junior members will be $10.00 per year; and Dual members will remain at $5.00 yearly.
Finally, I encourage all members to attend our monthly meetings. Your input and presence matter, and it’s always better when more voices are heard and more hands are available.
For God and Country,
—Mack Grobis, Commander SAL Squadron 215
