Hello Legion Family!
I can’t believe Labor Day has come and gone. Summer seems to have flown by so fast. We have been very busy at our Legion. If you haven’t stopped by lately, please do. We miss you!
The 50/50 sales continue to go well (thanks Julie and Erin). A very special shoutout and thank you to Kathy Seibert, who has been selling tip boards and her special handmade items on Friday Chicken nights. She has been donating the proceeds from her crafts to our Children’s Christmas Party.
We have some exciting things planned in the next few months. First, Trivia is back on the first Wednesday of each month. Next, September 27 is our big cancer fundraiser. This is a Legion Family event with all the proceeds to benefit Katy, the granddaughter of very special members. Please plan on attending to help this beautiful little girl and her family. Then on October 25 we will host our second Comedy Night. We have three outstanding comedians scheduled. Our feature comedian is Bob Jay. Bob is a national talent with over 1,000 voices. Tickets are $30 and include a delicious taco bar and dessert. Tickets are available at the bar. Erin is organizing a Sip and Paint party for us in November. More details to come.
Just a reminder, our Auxiliary meetings are on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. We would love to see you there!
