Fellow Veterans,

One of our members, Kyle Olinger, was involved in a very bad car accident recently and is on a long road to recovery. Kyle has been an integral part of our Post for many years. He has held positions In SAL and is currently one of our outstanding bartenders. When we needed a kitchen manager he stepped in and did a heck of a job, reducing our costs and ensuring that the equipment was running to the best of its ability, all while holding down a full time job outside of the Legion. On NOVEMBER 14th, SAL steak night , there will be a feather party, tip boards and Hubie Ashcraft will be performing. Please plan on coming out to show your support for Kyle, his family and Post 215.

We also have a Legion Crawl planned for November 8th. We will be visiting several posts in the area. It’s always good to visit other posts to see how they do things and to meet members from other posts. Last year it was a bus full of fun! If you haven’s signed up please do so, the
sheets are behind the bar. Space is limited, so come on in and see a bartender to sign up.

Thanksgiving is approaching, and like last year we will be doing Thanksgiving dinner for veterans and Post 215 members and their families. With all the turkeys and hams, we’ll need people to help prepare the dinner. We will be opening it up to the community due to the amount
of food that has been donated for this event. Side dishes would be much appreciated, I ask that you let Louise, our Kitchen Manager or me know what you intend to bring. Desserts are also appreciated, cakes, pies, etc. or maybe your house special!

Volunteers, an important part of our operation here at Post 215, are needed for all the events that are coming up in the next few months. Please find a way to help us by volunteering! We have 15 events currently scheduled with more being booked as Christmas approaches.

Have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving and Christmas!

—Thank you, Rick Seibert, Commander
