Fellow Veterans:

I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas. It’s a time for family and friends to celebrate together.

We will be open Christmas Eve for a Post 215 family celebration. The Post will provide a beef roast and we are asking members to bring in a dish to share.

We will be open New Years Eve from 11:00 to 6:00, sloppy joes will be available, and Brent Cole will be here from 2:00 to 5:00. It will be open to the public so bring your friends out to enjoy some time together. Please keep safety in mind on New Years Eve, be a responsible driver if you are on the road.

We will be having the chicken dinner, as usual, on the 2nd of January with the band Double Shot providing some musical entertainment. Double Shot will also be here the 2nd of February for your pleasure.

We had a few of our longtime volunteers that have cleaned the tables after the chicken dinners decide to call it quits. Thank you very much for all the years of assisting in the chicken dinners. We need more volunteers to step up and help your Post. See me or Louise, the kitchen manager, for more information and to see what you can do to help your post. Veterans, these dinners are an integral part of what keeps
your Post operating. If you know of any veterans that haven’t joined the Legion, bring them in for a taste of some of the best chicken in the area, and maybe they, or their family members, will want to pitch in and volunteer for some of our dinners or events that we put together here.

Don’t forget Valentines Day coming in February!

I would like to wish all of our members a very safe and rewarding New Year! Thank you for a wonderful 2025, looking forward to 2026!

Rick Seibert, Commander Post 215
